He will then serve probation, with 21 months of confinement hanging over his head during those five years."I think probation will help me," Hightower told Castro. Police could not confirm Eastman's age on Friday morning.Winchester said that during his investigation, a metal recycling shop in Waldo County said they'd bought a large amount of brass that police say came from the stolen doors."On a date in the area of when the doors were taken, this shop took in nearly 400 lbs of the same metal these doors were made of," Winchester said. The shop's owners were able to identify the sellers, which led to the charges. Police say the metal shop has cooperated with the investigation.Winchester said the metal存倉from the doors has been recovered, but that the doors themselves are "damaged beyond repair and no longer usable."Receiving stolen property is normally a misdemeanor offense, but the value of the doors bumped the charges up to Class C, or felony, status, Winchester said. So the trio are each liable for up to five years in prison and $5,000 fines, if ultimately found guilty of the crime.The doors were stolen sometime in late June or early July from a tomb at Silver Lake Cemetery. Durham County Public Defender Lawrence Campbell said in an affidavit that he read and watched the coverage about Lovette from the time he was charged with killing Carson and Mahato in 2008 to the present time."The intense news coverage that I have read, watched and heard in the news media serving Durham County has been overwhelmingly negative concerning Mr. Lovette and overwhelmingly sympathetic about Eve Carson and the alleged victim in the instant Durham murder case, Abhijit Mahato, who was a graduate student at Duke University at the time of his death," Campbell wrote in the affidavit.He said it's natural for people to be sympathetic to Carson and hostile to Lovette, but those people might be called as jurors in the Mahato case and would find it difficult to presume Lovette was innocent in that case.Harris C. Johnson, who was employed at UNC Hospitals in the Department of Psychiatry for 34 years and is active in Durham politics, said he reads newspapers and watches the local news. But after the hearing, they spoke with Superior Court Judge Orlando Hudson, and he assigned Hardin to be the trial judge for the case so they met back in the courtroom later to further discuss upcoming dates for hearings.They agreed to hear motions during the week of Oct. 7, most likely on the Friday of that week.Bethea-Shields said she hopes the trial can be started and completed before the end of the year. Source: York Daily Record, Pa.迷你倉庫July 19--William Hall was born in Philadelphia -- 58 years ago -- but he didn't stay there long, and once he and his family left, they got around.His father was a welder, his sister said, and the family moved to where the work was. He figured, he told his life partner, Michael Crone, later, that he had been to 48 of the 50 states, never venturing to Hawaii or Alaska, between the moving around and his later work that involved a lot of travel. He fondly recalled living on a farm in Missouri; he found the rural lifestyle appealing, the quiet, the slower rhythms, people who would stop and say hello or ask if it was hot enough for you, that kind of thing. He just liked living in the country. Sedona, in the Sonoran Desert in Northern Arizona, was among his favorite places.He joined the Navy out of school and liked the idea of seeing the world. Mostly, he told his partner, he remembered how dark it was at sea, at night, running lights-out on the ocean. He settled in Florida after the service, going to work, with his father, at Disney World. His partner believes they were maintenance workers, or some such.One story Hall used to tell was that he served as an escort for Lillian Disney -- Walt's wife -- when she visited the park. How he got that gig, he never said, his partner said. He was pretty witty and charming, his partner said. Maybe Lillian Disney learned that. Who knows? "I don't know how you go from maintenance work to that," Crone said.Hall liked to tell the story about the christening of the Empress Lilly, a faux-riverboat that served as a restaurant, named for Walt Disney's wife. He said he was with her when she swung the champagne bottle, but was up in years and lacked the strength to shatter it. She handed it off to Hall, who smashed the bottle on the riverboat's hull.It may have been after that -- or not -- that Hall went to clown college in Florida. Crone wasn't sure where he matriculated -- whether it was Ringling or Barnum or what -- but it began a stint with the circus. He must've still been in his 20s, Crone and his sister thought. His sister wasn't sure. She married young and moved away and didn't keep abreast of her brother's travels and travails. Crone said he talked about being a circus clown, but that was about it.He moved on from that and, eventually, found his way to Maryland, where got a job as household manager for an estate. And later, he went to work for Sunoco as a district manager.He was a big country music fan and loved Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks and, especially, Reba McEntire. Reba was easily his favori儲存e, Crone said. He thought she was a fine-looking woman and loved her music. His favorite song was the one about the red dress, Bobbie Gentry's "Fancy."He went to see McEntire -- Crone believes it was in Landover, Md. -- and worked his way to the front. The rules specified no flash photography, but he ignored that rule, probably purposely. "He knew he would be taken backstage and he might get to meet Reba," Crone said.It sort of worked out that way. Security guards grabbed him and escorted him to the backstage area, where they took his film. Later, the story goes, McEntire saw the photos and liked them and got in touch with Hall. They stayed in touch, and during Nashville's Fan Fair, she invited him to her house, where she hosted a fair event. He went a couple of times. He has photos of him with McEntire. Once, Crone said, he took his mother along and had her photo taken with the singer. He got to meet Bette Midler and Alan Jackson.In 1999, or so, he was working for Sunoco when a work-related accident ended his career. A display of soda cases toppled over and hit him on the back, resulting in injuries that required several surgeries. His back was never right, Crone said. He couldn't stand or sit for long. He couldn't work. He went on disability.It was around then that he moved to York County, first to Glenville and then to Jefferson. He had been living in the city and wanted to be out in the country, remembering those days spent on the farm in Missouri. He met Crone and settled in.He had some health issues over the years, and then a visit to the doctor and some x-rays revealed a problem -- lung cancer. It was pretty advanced and aggressive. The doctor said he had maybe six months, but within a month -- three weeks in the hospital and two days at a nursing home -- he was gone.When he was recuperating from his back injury, McEntire sent him a get-well gift, an autographed acoustic guitar. It wasn't anything special, as guitars go. He didn't even play guitar, Crone said, but it meant a lot to him. It used to be in their living room, until Crone became concerned that their cat would scratch it. 來源 : 政府發言人辦公室粵澳合作的標誌性項目橫琴島澳門大學新校區7月20日啟用，儲存倉自該日起校區內依照澳門特別行政區之法律實施管轄。《澳門特別行政區公報》今（19）日刊登第218/2013 號行政長官批示，公佈橫琴島澳門大學新校區7月20日啟用。根據2009年6月全國人大常委會的有關決定，授權澳門特別行政區自橫琴島澳門大學新校區啟用之日起，對該校區依照澳門特別行政區法律實施管轄，即新校區適用澳門特區行政區法律。橫琴島澳門大學新校區對澳門未來的人才培養,從而促進本澳經濟適度多元發展及長遠的可持續發展，具有關鍵性作用，特區政府對其建設高度重視，與廣東省、珠海市政府保持緊密接觸與充分溝通，積極推進和落實各項工作。項目自2009年12月20日由時任國家主席胡錦濤親自主持奠基以來，得到中央的高度重視和全力支持，廣東省、珠海市的大力配合，至今年4月基本完工。粵澳雙方隨即啟動各項工程驗收程序及設施調試的準備工作，就新校區的啟用和後續管理問題召開專門會議，進行細則磋商及周密安排，各項工作開展順利。橫琴島澳門大學新校區總建築面積約94萬平方米，包括15個組團建築，80多棟單體建築，市政道路面積達16萬平方米，還有配套的水、電、燃氣、通訊、資訊、海關、警察局和生活服務設施等。整項工程建設標準高、規模大、協調性高，加上多項施工、多種工序同步實施，建設高峰期近60個施工單位同時駐場，近萬人同時作業。橫琴島澳門大學新校區不僅是一項校園的建設工程，更具有在“一國兩制”框架下，落實粵澳更緊密合作的重要戰略意義。澳門大學遷入橫琴新校區的安排，將採用逐步遷入方式。由於尚在驗收及後續裝修工程階段，校區短期內仍實施工地式管理，稍後才能全面開放。配套設施進場設置 迷你倉沙田校區暫不對外開放7月20日是橫琴島澳門大學新校區的一個歷史性時刻，由澳門特區政府正式接管，校區內實施澳門特別行政區的法律。新校區短期內仍實施工地管理模式，便於校園整體聯動調試、修整、驗收和搬遷等各項工作，暫不對外開放。為全力配合和做好新校區開學前的移交及搬遷工作，特別是後續的設施配套工作，如供水、供電、治安、電訊、交通等相關設施的進場設置，日前，澳門特區政府與廣東省政府經深入研究及取得共識後，向中央政府提出新校區於本年7月20日啟用的請求，獲得中央政府批准。由於尚在驗收及後續裝修工程階段，考慮新校區的有效聯動管理，短期?不開放公眾進出。過渡期間新校區河底隧道澳門段出入口將設置關卡實施人流、車流管制措施，以開展前期管理及調適工作。現階段留守的大部分為工程技術人員，該等人員均須擁有在澳工作的合法資格。另一方面，為配合校區實施澳門法律法規之管理，承建方廣東南粵集團有限公司於本年開始設立退場機制，並已按計劃於7月20日前分批分項撤出內地工人及施工設備。澳門大學將逐步開展後續裝置及搬遷工作，當中涉及全校電腦網絡及資訊設備的安裝測試，WiFi網絡及電話系統鋪設，約350間課室及400多個住宿單位的設備安裝，以及10萬多件家具的遷入等。此外，計劃於暑假期間陸續安排約2000名師生遷入住宿區。部分課程的教學活動將於新學年開始在新校區進行，澳大中華醫藥研究院、兩個國家重點實驗室（即模擬與混合信號超大規模集成電路國家重點實驗室及中藥質量研究國家重點實驗室）也隨後遷往新校園，部分行政及學術支援單位將陸續進駐，以便提供支援服務。遷校行動龐大而複雜，澳門大學將採用逐步遷入、分批進駐的方式，確保新校區搬遷、試運轉等有序開展，盡量減低對師生校園生活的影響。迷你倉價錢
